Project Description

: To support budding entrepreneurs from the area in establishing a successful business, Tata Steel has partnered with Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST). BYST will focus on youth entrepreneurship development in Odisha for a period of 5 years in the districts of Jajpur. BYST will extend the youth entrepreneurship programme which will train over 10,000 and impact around 1000 youth entrepreneurs. It is estimated that the total loan amount shall be 500 crores with a turnover of Rs 4238 crores directly or indirectly by creating employment opportunities for 27100 directly or indirectly. Objective for BYST-TATA STEEL Youth Entrepreneurship Program are 1-To raise awareness and sow the seeds about entrepreneurship amongst young people on a large scale in Odisha 2-To replicate the Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust model of youth entrepreneurship in Jajpur District 3-To counsel and train young people to develop their capacity for entrepreneurial activities 4-To facilitate funding and mentoring through BYSTs Bank Partners and Mentors 5-To ensure creation of wealth, employment 6-To catalyse long-term sustainability of the local community 7-To create a group of youth icons (e.g. high employment and wealth generators and award winners) to inspire potential young entrepreneurs 8-To showcase a unique initiative of creating employment through entrepreneurship in Odisha (and elsewhere in the country) this program is co-branded as BYST-TATA STEEL Youth Entrepreneurship Program
