Project Description
:
Promotions of Solar Micro Irrigation & mini cold storage in operational areas of JK CSR in partnership with IIT Bhubaneswar for doubling the farmers income by addressing farm distresses among the rural tribal communities in Rayagada district. Rayagada being an aspirant district and most backward having hilly terrains water availability and accessibility for irrigation is a biggest challenge for the farmers . Technology innovated by IIT Bhubaneswar is 0.5 HP micro pump set with solar panels can be made available low cost and bankable model for the small and marginal farmers which can bring a greater impact in enhancing livlihood of the small and marginal and land less farmers by integrating agri productions diversification with a reliable market for agri products . This is to be modeled in Rayagada and then can be replicated in other areas .
