Project Description
:
ASHA KIRAN is a charitable society situated at Dipupada, Brajrajnagar Municipal area in the District of Jharsuguda, Odisha. It is a centre for the Mentally Handicapped from different age groups. The fact that more than 90 differently abled students are enrolled in the centre shows how pivotal the centre is in terms of addressing the differently abled from nearby areas.The centre had scarcity of school building specially boys hostel for specially abled students enrolled there.The inconvenience faced by the differently abled students is palpable. To address this issue the management of AshaKiran approached General Manager, MCL IB Valley area to consider the proposal for constructing school building and boys hostel for the welfare of differently abled students.Considering the need and urgency of the issue, CSR Committee of IB Valley area agreed to take-up the work under CSR of IB Valley Area. The IB Valley Area executed the work under CSR head by Constructing Boys Hostel & Ramp Distempering of existing building for mentally challenged children of ASHA KIRAN. The total expenditure incurred in this work is Rs. 63.52lakhs. The work began on Dec 16, 2017 and completed as per the schedule on June 16, 2018. The scope of work included construction of 04Nos of rooms with attached toilet and bathrooms, 02nos of Hall &1 no of common toilet and bathroom. This effort from MCL, IB Valley area has brought smiles and faith in MCL management for uplifting of facilities for students.
