Project Description

: In three blocks having target to mobilize 10000 farmers in FPOs in 300 villages by September total 92 farmers Clubs (FC) are formed with 1963 tribal farmers as its members . In 12 locations, 312 farmers with 298 acres of land ensured sustainable irrigation through solar pump systems where farmers are now gaining additional income through vegetable clusters . Plan has been made to replicate it in other locations.Considering impending water crisis a new rain water harvesting and ground water recharging project is planned for the areas. In 2019-20, about 2 lakh Sq. ft of catchments will be covered in the project. 124 farmers have availed the seed support for 122 acres. 126 farmers have gone exposure visits for sustainable agriculture NABARD has considered a watershed project worth of Rs.67 Lakh for promotion of Sustainable agriculture with SPARSH4 FPOs (20,000 farmers) for undertaking Casuriana farming by coastal farmers has been sanctioned by NABARD Rs.86.4 lakhs for transforming agriculture from crop based to tree based.Mission ten Million fruit tree plantation in partnership with One Tree Plant US, The Climate Reality Project US has been launched to generate 30,000 direct employment in production, packaging and marketing of fruits by young entrepreneursFor the marketing of farmers produce, a Rural Hatt project in support of NABARD in Rayagada is taken up
