Under an implementation of Adopt a Home program in Child care institution of Jajpur District, Collector & DM, Jajpurrequested M/s Tata steel ltd to take up one of the child care institution of jajpur district.M/s Tata steel ltd has agreed to look into the institutional development of Utkal Balashram child care institution located atjajpur Town. Utkal Balashram, Jajpur was established in the year 1943. The objective of the institution is to maintaindestitute, orphan children between the age group of 5 to 18 years for free of cost with a view to bring them up as usefulcitizens. They are provided with education in primary and secondary schools with part time vocational training in carpentry,music, tailoring and terracotta works.
