Project Description
:
Konark is the epitome of Odia art and Culture and a site of world heritage. Visitors across the globe are visiting the place every year to enjoy the mesmerizing stone carving. The majestic grandeur and traditional architecture of the temple with its scenic beauty along the ocean side attract many. However, the same is also welcoming more wastes to the place. Mismanagement of wastes is not only affecting its beauty but also hampering the number of visitors due to the unclean environment. The town generates 6 MT/day waste which are not managed. Thus, the project was conceived as per the suggestion of District Administration, Puri. The project aims to make the city "No Open Waste" in collaboration with Municipality to have a sustainable impact.
