Bamboo support to the women for construction of bamboo shed
Project Description
:
As part of its endeavour to empower women to earn a living of their own, Tsrds is training womenfolk of severalvillages in and around Kalinganagar on mushroom cultivation. This was undertaken extensively during the lock down period and subsequently involving more and more women.During the lockdown, women cultivators were unable to procure paddy straw mushroom seeds to plant during the season. TSRDS took an initiative for doorstep delivery of seeds to ensure that they have a steady source of income. Supporting them with some bamboo and cement pillars at this time of the year will help them to build a low cost mushroomshed, which will make their sheds strong and reselient against cyclones. These women will be part of our LTP of livelihood program and will be also practicing other income generation activities"
