: Chandaka Dampada forest, near Bhubaneswar represents the north eastern limits of eastern ghats forest & Central Indian Elephant range. Govt of Odisha declared major forest area of this division i.e 193.39 Sq.km as Chandaka Damapada Wild Life Sanctuary for the purpose of protecting, propagating and developing wildlife due to its ecological, faunal, floral geo-morphological and zoological significance.
