Project Description
:
Dola Yatra is the most colorful festival popularly known as Holi. Celebrated on Phalguna Purnima (Month of March) and a day succeeding is based on the romantic plays of Radha and Krishna. On this day people converge on the streets with their idols on splendidly decorated Vimana singing devotional songs in their praise and throwing color powders and water on each other. This yatra is widely celebrated in Ganjam with much fun and devotion.After getting request from the local community and administration, Grasim has organized JALACHATRA for the large number of devotees and visitors, who gathered during the two days yatra. Jalachatra is to provide clean and safe water to the people mixed with Dahi and Lemon.
