: GROUND WATER RECHARGE WELLGround water is a precious gift from nature and we use bore wells to get it. This leads to the drop in groundwater levels, reduction in or ceasing of bore well discharges, saline intrusions, and deteriorating water quality. Water scarcity directly impacts the social structure in our peripheral villages. Without groundwater, the World would face serious food shortages. So the problem will intensify with time. The best solutions are, Stop the misuse of water, recycle wastewater, and store rainwater. Groundwater recharge can be achieved through man made recharge structures such as recharge wells check dams, andRainwaterharvesting. In order to plan the groundwater recharge measures to the tune of 2,23,000 M3 year, we have engaged a retired Scientist Mr. A.R. Shivakumar Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology. for technical advisory support, site selection, structural design, injection bore well etc. and accordingly identified the most suitable areas for optimizing the groundwater recharge. Grasim CSR team had made an effort and constructed 10 groundwater recharge well in Ganjam NAC i.e. Ganjam College, Ganjam Girls School, Stadium campus, Agricultural training center, Ganati Padia, and Bharati Bidyapitha. Besides that check dam and soil bund has been done at Kalyanpur village.
