Observation of Worlds AIDS Day at Ganjam

World AIDS Day, held each year on December 1, is an opportunity to celebrate and support global efforts to prevent new HIV infections, increase HIV awareness and knowledge, and support those living with HIV. This year, World AIDS Day was observed under the theme Ending the HIV AIDS Epidemic Community by Community. Students were given an opportunity to discuss their views about HIV AIDS. Importance was given to the role of the younger generation in reducing stigma and discrimination among people living with HIV AIDS and helping them to lead a normal life in society. A rally was also taken out to raise awareness of HIV AIDS in Ganjam Notified Area Council from ward to ward.
