Project Description
:
The project aims to address the significant public health issue of cataract-induced blindness in India, particularly in the state of Odisha. By collaborating with L.V. Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), Tata Steel Foundation (TSF) seeks to reduce the backlog of cataract patients through comprehensive eye camps and surgeries. The initiative will involve baseline surveys, capacity building for ASHA workers and TSF employees, and conducting surgeries for identified patients.and quality eye care for underserved and financially vulnerable communities, thereby reducing preventable blindness in the region.
