:
Sukinda is a tribal dominated mining area the land holding pattern is small and depend upon rainfed, most of the farmers are either small and marginal. TSF aims to Increasing farmers income through farm mechanization and adaptation of high yield cultivation process has been the major objective, TSF adapts climate-smart and agro ecological methodology to increase the productivity. Keeping the same objective TSF promotes SRI method cultivation for minimizing cost of production and increase in yield.By reducing inputs of seed, water, chemical fertilizers, and in some cases of labor, SRI gives greater returns from farmers available resources of land, water, labor and capital, and can lower their production costs. Without altering ecological and socio-economic balance on one hand and to meet the national goals on the other hand. Total 959 farmers would be covered under SRI and dry land farming.
