: Volleyball Tournament for players of periphery villages
: Promotion of sports is a vital component of youth engagement which is an important part of CSR. Volleyball happens to be a populargame among the youth of our periphery villages.The youth of the periphery villages of TSM with keen interest in volleyball are being imparted exclusive coaching & mentoring througha dedicated state level coach. Volleyball has become a movement in the vicinity.In the span of last 4 years through dedicated coaching and fitness camps, we have imparted coaching to 651 boys & girls for bothDhenkanal & Angul district as per the list below.Dhenkanal District (21 senior and 39 Junior boys)Angul District (4 Senior and 45 Junior boys)5 players from both Senior and Junior category have represented Odisha State Team & participated in national championships. 1player, Mr Bikash Patra out of the above has qualified to the Indian National Youth Volleyball coaching camp at KIIT, Bhubaneswar for Asian Youth Volleyball championship.Every year, we organize 2 tournaments for boys both Senior category (Age group 18--25) & Junior category (Age group 14-17) toascertain the performance of sports talents .Hence, there will be 2 tournaments organized during FY 22-23 consisting 10 teams in each group from periphery villages in atournament and each team will have 12 players.
