Tata Steel Foundation always been trying to enhance capacity of villagers and women group towards livelihood initiatives at Joda Unit because, all the area is surrounded by the mines for that people has access to easy money as labour and other forms. They need to know the other kind of income generation activities can be done by using the natural resource of village and earn more profit Joda is tribal area. Here people face many hardships in the field of livelihood. The women here work harder than the men to run their families. Tata Steel has been facilitating to empower women through various socio-economical activities in it periphery villages. As a part of income generation activities, the SHGs of the area were promoted with mushroom cultivation, duck rearing, Soap Making, Food cart & Phenyl Making.
