: Safe Water, Nutrition and Preventive Healthcare Initiative in Angul District under CSR of MCL
: The project Safe Water, Nutrition and Preventive Healthcare Initiative in Angul District under CSR of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) aims to improve the overall health and well-being of communities in Angul district. Under this initiative, various activities have been undertaken to address issues related to safe drinking water, nutrition, sanitation, and preventive healthcare. A total of 112 projects have been implemented across the district under the CSR programme of MCL. An expenditure of approximately 14,064.26 lakhs has been incurred for these initiatives. The projects include the development of safe drinking water supply systems to ensure access to clean and safe water for local communities. Significant support has also been provided for healthcare infrastructure, including expenditure for the Medical College at Talcher. In addition, several health-related projects have been implemented to strengthen preventive healthcare services in the region. These initiatives focus on improving nutrition, promoting sanitation, and enhancing public health awareness. The programme has contributed significantly to improving the quality of life of the people in the project areas. Overall, the initiative reflects MCLs commitment to sustainable community development and social welfare through its CSR activities.
