Project Description
:
The project Promoting Education, Special Education and Livelihood Enhancement through Skill Development among Children, Women, Elderly and Differently-Abled Persons in Angul District under CSR of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) aims to strengthen educational opportunities and improve livelihood skills among vulnerable sections of society in Angul district. Under this initiative, various programmes have been undertaken to promote education, vocational training, and livelihood enhancement. Special focus has been given to children, women, elderly persons, and differently-abled individuals to ensure inclusive development. Skill development and vocational training programmes are conducted to enhance employment opportunities and self-reliance. In FY 202425, a total of 17 projects have been implemented in Angul district under this initiative. An expenditure of 1,752.73 lakhs has been incurred for the implementation of these projects. The activities include educational support, training programmes, and livelihood enhancement initiatives for the community. These efforts contribute to improving the socio-economic conditions of the beneficiaries. The initiative also encourages empowerment and sustainable development among local communities. Overall, the project reflects MCLs strong commitment towards education, skill development, and community welfare through its CSR activities.
