Environmental Sustainability and Natural Resource Conservation Initiative in angul district under CSR of mcl
Project Description
:
The project was implemented in Angul district under the CSR initiatives of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) to promote environmental sustainability and community development. The initiative included maintenance and watering of block plantations around the Hingula Temple premises and from Salbani Chhack to Kumunda Bridge of Hingula OCP. These activities were undertaken for a period of one year, excluding the monsoon period, to ensure proper growth and maintenance of the plantation. The plantation maintenance helps in improving green cover and maintaining ecological balance in the surrounding areas. Under the project, administrative approval was also provided for payment of registration charges for 12 vehicles supplied by Isuzu Motors Pvt Ltd. These vehicles are utilized for CSR-related activities and community service. Stickering and branding work was also carried out on the 12 Isuzu vehicles for proper identification under CSR initiatives. The vehicles support the implementation and monitoring of CSR activities in different project areas. Overall, the project contributes to environmental protection and effective implementation of CSR programmes in the region. These initiatives demonstrate MCLs commitment towards sustainable development and community welfare in Angul district.
