Project Description
:
The project focuses on the protection and promotion of national heritage, art, and culture in Angul district under the CSR initiatives of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL). A total of 33 projects have been implemented in the district with an expenditure of 240.39 lakhs. The initiatives include support for preservation of cultural heritage, promotion of traditional arts and handicrafts, and development of cultural infrastructure. Financial assistance has also been provided for important cultural and religious events such as the Hingula Yatra. These efforts help in preserving the cultural identity and traditions of the local communities in the district.
