Promotion of Rural, National, Olympic and Paralympic Sports in Angul District under CSR of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL)
Project Description
:
The project aims to promote sports development and training in Angul district under the CSR initiatives of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL). Financial assistance of 4,64,064 was provided towards the procurement of cricket equipment and materials to support training programmes for nationally recognized sports (Cricket) conducted by the District Administration, Angul (Sub-Collector and Sub-Divisional Magistrate). In addition, arrangements were made for the development of a badminton court at Chheliapada Police Barrack under Jagannath Area to encourage sports activities among local personnel and youth. These initiatives help in promoting sports culture and improving sports infrastructure in the district. During FY 202425, a total expenditure of 18.69 lakhs was incurred in Angul district under this initiative.
