Project Description
:
This project aims at providing safe drinking water through repairing and disinfection of water sources,through Water tank and Jal Chhatra and reducing the incidences of water borne diseases in the area.Water is one of the primary basic need of the community. It is required in the day today life of the people.As per the base line study conducted by Asian Institute of Sustainable Development (AISD), Vedanta has installed few tubewells for drinking water in the community but it is required to installed more drinking water sources to meet the need ofthe community. Also, the tube well needs to repaired and disinfected, as per the requirement, to meet the need ofdrinking water.During summer season, there are demand of water supply at Kesinga to fulfil the need of drinking water in the area. Alsothe Jalchhatra points have been made to provide the water in market and public places during scorching summer atLanjigarh.
