Project Description
:
Every fifth person in India is an adolescent (10-19 years) and every third a young person (10-24 years). Investing in this segment of the population is the best way to build a healthy and prosperous society. Engaging with them and empowering them with required information and services will impact long-term health indicators, including reproductive health (RH), positively. Health and social indicators in Jharkhand and Odisha are among the lowest in the country because of various reasons. Keeping this in view, TSRDS has been implementing Project RISHTA (Regional Initiative for Safe Sexual Health by Todays Adolescents). The project aims to enable adolescents to make informed decisions regarding their lives, including sexual and reproductive health in Sukinda, Kankadahad and Bhuban blocks.RISHTA (Regional Initiative for Safe Sexual Helath by Todays Adolescents) Project
