Project Description
:
Tata Steel offers support to the needy and deserving students of SC/ST communities who are pursuing higher education. One of the fellowship programmes of Tata Steel Tribal Cultural Society which is being given since mid-1970s was branded as Jyoti Fellowship in 2004-05. Structured to cater to high school, intermediate, under-graduate and post-graduate students from the economically backward SC/ST families, the fund obligated by the company has increased over the years. Jyoti Fellowship extends financial help to students from Kolhan region (East Singhbhum, West Singhbum and Seraikela Kharsawan districts), Jamadoba and West Bokaro of Jharkhand Sukinda, Bamnipal, Joda, Gopalpur, Kalinganagar, Gomadih and Katamati of Odisha.
