Project Description
:
We plan to eliminate avoidable blindness, and fights for the rights and needs of people who are visually impaired or blind. We also aim to reduce school dropouts by providing the children the necessary means to continue their passion for studies. Vedanta intends to carry out an extensive school eye health programme in the Lanjigarh Blocks and Junagarh blocks of Kalahandi district.The project intends to refer children with bigger eye health related problems to the base hospital located at Junagarh block for further check-up and treatment. With the support of State Government, we plan to scale this intervention across the entire Kalahandi district.
